Taghazout, Morocco-Starting Nov 26th-2nd Dec 2018

€606- No Accommodation

€866- Accommodation in shared private apartment

This is a Business of Yoga intensive 'Teacher Training'

50-hour course.

The course is suitable for three types of students

  1. Students who are thinking about completing their 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course but would first like to explore the business side of yoga.

  2. Students who have completed their 200-hour YTTC but feel they did not get enough information on the business of yoga and how to go about earning a living from yoga teaching.

  3. The course is also suitable for people who wish to work or who currently work within the wellness industry. These students should note that there are daily yoga asana classes and a strong focus on the business of yoga specifically.

This course stands out as a must-have for all potential yoga teachers and existing yoga teachers looking to understand the practicalities of running their own business or freelancing career.

Our 6-day 50-hour course is hands on. This is not a course where students sit and listen to lectures.

This is a course where students build and create their own business structure and marketing materials and leave the course ready to launch (or in most cases having already launched).

Students will be fully immersed in a workshop environment learning to build and maintain their own daily business practices, marketing foundations, marketing materials, and content.

Every day there will be daily meditation and pranayama. After this, we will have the morning asana class. This will be led by students on the course who have already completed their 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (or course facilitators)

During the asana class, we will have a photographer taking images and videos of both the teacher and students for use in your digital portfolios.

Daily there will be 12 Business of Yoga workshops.

Workshop topics include:

  1. Daily connection practice as a foundation for your business

  2. Your tribe-life alignment and clarity

  3. Glossy website/webpage building and updating (hands-on how to do)

  4. Facebook and Instagram strategy and advertising options (how to)

  5. Video blogging (hands-on shooting, editing and how to do)

  6. Newslettering (hands-on how to do)

  7. Photoshooting and editing

  8. Video shooting and editing

  9. Public relations, partnering, networking in your local community to drive awareness

  10. Glossy Website/web page building and updating part II

  11. Photo and video shooting part II

  12. Marketplaces and how to hire graphic designers, web designers, bloggers

  13. Building online courses for additional income part II

The day will finish with another asana class again led by qualified students or course facilitators.

Finally, the day will close with a meditation. We will finish around 5 pm each day and students are then free to complete their assigned tasks or go for a sunset surf!

One of the great cuisines of the world, Moroccan cooking abounds with subtle spices and intriguing flavor combinations.

Think tart green olives paired with chopped preserved lemon rind stirred into a tagine of tender chicken, the surprise of rich pigeon meat pie dusted with cinnamon and icing sugar, or sardines coated with a flavourful combination of coriander, parsley, cumin and a hint of chili.

Influenced by Andalusian Spain, Arabia, and France, Morocco’s cuisine is a delicious combination of mouthwatering flavors that make it unique. Vegetarian and vegan options also available!

Taghazout is a small fishing village about 20 km North of Agadir. Since Europeans came to Taghazout in the 60’s, it has developed into the surfing mecca of Morocco, with multiple world class waves all within a 15-minute drive.

When the Atlantic swells roll in you have about 20 different world class spots that all light up at the same time, all just minutes from each other.

The surf camp where we will stay is perfectly placed literally 5 meters from the jump-off point of Hash Point a fun, fast point break. From the surf camp terraces and the cafe, you can check the surf from Panoramas all the way up to Anchor Point.

What Makes This Retreat Special

This is the first and only Yoga Teacher Training focusing only on business and empowering the students with all of the tools they need to launch their business or career in yoga, anywhere!

The biggest obstacle for new Yoga Teachers is navigating the business aspect of things. Usually, in 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training courses, only 1 or 2 hours are dedicated to this topic.

The biggest feedback coming from newly qualified Yoga Teachers is that they wish there was more 'real world' or 'business of yoga' preparation or training.
